I didn't like my car -- mini vans are NOT my style -- and it likely wouldn't have lasted another year anyway, being 12 years old and starting to fall apart a nickel and dime at a time, but I wanted the poor old thing to die a natural death -- not get smashed into scrap before I managed to buy a replacement.

All of my CDs are now on my iPod  plus a couple of hundred of random songs -- and its less than 1/2 way full!  AND there's three hours of video on it as well.  Sheese.  How to fill up the rest without spending a fortune on more CDs . . .  oh, I'll think of something ( Read more... )

Gah!  I hate Kansas City in August!  Its 102 degrees outside!  I start getting cranky if its over 80!  There are way too many exclamation points in this paragraph!

Well, I said i had to write in this journal EVERY day, and I meant it -- even tonight, when my brain is fried, I'm verging on insomnia and I can't think of anything meaningful, or even interesting, to write.  So, yeah!  Another top 10 list.

I think my main problem with writing (with finishing any piece of writing) is a basic lack of discipline.  I have no trouble thinking of things to write about -- the issue is in putting those thoughts together in an interesting and cohesive form.  Mostly, I find myself jotting down quick notes -- a phrase, an image, a character quirk/flaw/voice ( Read more... )
